Kitchen and Utility Renovation

Kitchen & Utility Project

Bespoke Kitchen in Dark Holly Green | Bianco Eclipse Velluto quartz worktop | Antique Mirror Backsplash | Cocktail Bar with Terrazo internal finishes

This bespoke kitchen blends contemporary style and traditional values. An antiqued mirror backsplash, fluted island, curving brass hardware and edge profiles combine to shape a space that is defined by myriad beautiful details.

This kitchen works hard to feel bigger than the relatively small footprint in inhabits in a classic Victorian terraced home.

A soft triple bull-nosed edge to the island gives peripheral appeal to the senses as it encourages movement around its curves. A brass foot-rail supports both perching and standing room, with its old-school bar styling found handily adjacent to a full height cupboard that opens to reveal a Bar.

Flooring choices mix warm wooden chevrons with a contemporary take on traditional monochrome checkerboard tiles – the latter covering the space that will see most of the footwork involved for prep work and cooking.

The mix of references has been designed to adapt to both the Victorian era past of the architecture and the high-style of a present day.

Utility

In a small space, say it with flowers …

Here we find a meet-cute between a wall-flower of a roll-top, traditional-style trough basin – all rounded corners, shiny surfaces, and daisy-shaped taps – and a Tubes ‘Scalettta’ heated ladder-style towel rail. Colour blocks in yellow play around the edges and provide concealed storage space, while tongue and groove wall finishes and monochrome tiled flooring once again throw contemporary shapes that echo traditional material choices and styling.

Carrie Bradshaw’s set designers would no doubt love it!
